Yes - worldpoints can be transferred 1:1 to aeroplan. The way to do this is very obscure on their website. If you call them, chances are the CS rep would not know anything about it and they will tell you this is not possible - don't believe them.

Yes once you turn them into AP points, you can use them on *A reward flights - including business and first class rewards. Those tend to give you the best value for your points. I don't know much about whether you can convert AP points into U.S. based programs such as UA's MP.

Step 1: create an AP account to receive the points. (maybe wait for a day or two to make sure this is completely propagated throughout AP's system. Don't overestimate AP's IT ability to do anything real time).

Step 2: start a web browser, and remove all cookies on that browser (this step can be important if you ever used your browser to access a worldpoint account - there seems to be cookie issues when going through the next few steps)

Step 2. on BOA site, go to the reward home.

Step 3: in the reward home. Go to travel reward - this step is very important because that's the step on BOA's website to properly set the authentication cookies onto Worldpoints website (I'm talking about web app jargon here - the website actually is passing credentials across different domains using an SSO technique). You won't see anything about AP points transfer in this travel reward section, BTW, and the travel reward will pops up a new browser window/tab

Step 4: go back to the original BOA reward home, click "Cash" reward.

Step 5: in that cash reward page, click "reward home" upper right hand corner.

Step 6: in the new "reward home" you will see a link that says "Travel". It's actually a different place from the travel thing you see in step 3 - yes this is confusing. Go there, and you will see a "partner reward option" at the lower right hand corner. One of them is Aeroplan.

Step 7: go into the aeroplan partner reward option, and click "redeem". You can redeem points 1:1 into AP in 1000 point increments.
