This is a complete grunch as I haven't read much in this thread at all. My business partner and I live in Reno, NV and don't have much use for Air Canada. He has accumulated over 1M Bank of America World points however and it seems they may be transferable on a 1:1 basis to Aeroplan miles.

If this is true, and we can successfully get a bunch of miles in an aeroplan account, are we able to redeem these for use on United and other Star Alliance members? Are we able to transfer the miles to any US based FF program?

A little digging shows that the "visa extra points" that he's accumulated can be redeemed at 460,000 points for a "RT First class ticket." Details are sketchy...
