The other weird thing is that on Avis' site, if I choose "Pay Later" (when I pick up), the rate is $77 ($101 with all taxes / fees), but if I choose "Pay Now", the rate is $225, and they charge a "one-way fee" of $175, so the total comes up to $508.

If I choose the Pay Later, then a) I don't get charged a "one-way fee" and b) it says it's for unlimited miles, both of which seem odd.

I mean I'm all for a good deal and low prices, but I would prefer to not get up there expecting to pay $101 and find they are demanding $500
