This is especially the case at LGW. At LHR you have the node where these can be left but there is no area suitable at the gates at LGW, and I think this could be one of the reasons for the delay there.
Certainly at LHR we are repatriating buggies at aircraft side. Cr had been made aware of this so clearly we need to speak with them again.
The process is new and an orange tag must be applied as well as a comment in the booking for baggage to be aware they have a buggy to deliver to the jetty.
With regards to pan galactics buggy, it looks large in the picture, but may well appear smaller in reality. If it is too large for the cabin it may need to be hold loaded at the aircraft door and then delivered back at the other end. There are times when lighter loads mean space can be found onward, however the summer peak is not usually a time when we can be flexible with this due to the number of smilies flying. I can only imagine how stressful getting smaller customers to the aircraft can be, but hopefully the new process (which so far has been very reliable) will help.
