Those that go onboard tend to be the umbrella type or smaller ones which can fit in a CE wardrobe. And this can also cause complaints because the dirt on the wheels can, and have, damaged people's coats.
It's tiny, it fits snugly at the side of the boot in my Golf taking up hardly any space at all, you can also get a bag for it so it doesn't even look like a pram.....
Like I say, I haven't had a problem bring it onboard BA on my last 8 flights.
OK, technically it's 14cm longer than it should be for hand luggage at 70 x 25 x 29 cm where you are allowed 56cm x 45cm x 25cm, but a lot of people bend the rules a little bit on that one don't they?
Edit: just measured it with the wheels popped off (very quick and easy to do) and it's only 60cm, 4 cm out.
