I do however know that some teething problems were being had at LHR and that at LGW it is definately not happening.
I think the problem is that some staff have jumped the gun on this, especially at LGW, when not everything is in place for this to happen.
Ground staff have been given different instructions to crew, and this was at training recently taken by all ground staff in relation to the Olympics. As I've said before we were ALL told clearly, "not yet, watch this space".
CR are right when they state "Further, London's Heathrow and Gatwick airports have already advised us that, due to the volume of flights and passengers that use the airport, they are unable to deliver children's pushchairs at the aircraft side."
This is especially the case at LGW. At LHR you have the node where these can be left but there is no area suitable at the gates at LGW, and I think this could be one of the reasons for the delay there.
