I feel for the OP if that's what the agent said. It surprises me that the OP thought that they would be charged a fee for booking over the phone though. I don't know how they aren't aware that DM, PM and GM don't pay the direct ticketing charge. I also don't know how logic didn't come into play. If you booked a sat thru tues ticket and noticed the dates were wrong, I am pretty sure you would have done the research and looked at the dates and flights you actually wanted and seen a price. I wouldn't doubt that a Friday thru Monday fare would be almost double a saturday thru Tuesday fare. It's a well known fact that airlines off peak days are tues/weds/sat and that is when fares are lower and lower fare buckets have availability. A Friday and a Monday hit two huge business travel days and likely will only have higher classes of inventory available....especially inside 2 weeks. I'm curious to know what happens here because the OP would have received an eticket and receipt for the new ticket and probably should have looked at it an noticed the error right away. Chances of a refund after the fact would seem to be low. I don't think all calls are recorded either so the tape may be impossible to find. Best of luck getting the refund but I have a feeling it's an uphill battle. Without proof of the conversation it will be near impossible.
