While its probably always best to try resolving directly with the property, disputing the charge with your CC company sometimes gets the problem fixed for repeat offenders.
Advantage to you is the charge is immediately reversed so your expense reporting is simpler, and someone at the property might have to explain the chargeback fees which might get the problem fixed.
As long as you have your cancellation number it sounds like it would probably be faster to deal with your cc companie's dispute process too.
