I have purchased with my AMEX this year (in fact the only reason I got the AMEX card was to use priceline). Some say that Priceline Asia will accept Canadian cards but I haven't tried it.</font>

Most Canadian-issued MasterCards will work too. Apparently Priceline has this special arrangemenet with Visa (see their special logo on bidding screen) so that all Visa cards are authorized in a special way to prevent unauthorized use. This prevents cards like Aerogold from being used.
They don't check that much with others cards so Canadian Amex and MC still work.
