Quite. It may not be possible to actually remedy the situation without the intervention of engineering but it is callous in the extreme not to really apologise to pax (the video doesn't actually show the intensity of the flashes very well but suffice it to say that I thought I had been woken by a massive lightning storm outside the aircraft!) especially those paying thousands of pounds for their seats.

There were obviously no upgrades on either leg either, so it's not as if the crew were rushed off their feet. CW was far from full also, so the CSD would have had plenty of Daily Mail time on her hands...
