Hi,
I'm planning to fly CNX-BKK-KIX, and was told that I would clear the immigration/passport control at CNX, and thus cannot leave the air transit area at BKK. Is that accurate? I don't mind paying the departure tax at BKK; I'm trying to meet some friends at the airport before my continuing flight, and I have about 5 hrs at BKK.

I can see the issue where my passport will be stamped for exiting the country at CNX, so it would be strange to have another exit stamp from BKK when I haven't left the country. Anyone with a similar experience?
