Had a very funny experience when there recently. Flight was delayed by 2 1/2 hrs or more, finally get the call to go to the gate, there are a group of bankers on the table next to me (I know they were as they kept stating to each other about "working for the bank" etc), one guy said he doubted there was any point, headed out of the lounge and came back in saying "there's not even a plane on the stand yet, we'll stay put. More beer?". I left headed to the gate straight on to a bus and off to the plane. 20 minutes later, we are waiting for the 3 last passengers, guess who? What a bunch of bankers!!
Should have been tricky to see if a plane was at the stand. Do you know where he went ? since I cannot figure anywhere without going first through security.
Only place "with a view" coming to my mind will be near the lift to the old BA lounge. but even from here ....
