Well the options are

* Cascade planes from LHR as new longhaul planes arrive and take up slots
* Buy/lease some new ones
* Sell shorthaul ops
* Close shorthaul down totally

Given that losses are reputedly huge on LGW shorthaul one can hope for the first 2 options but I fear 3 or 4 is possible.
