I did this exact same thing one time in DOH. Flying in from BKK and my friend flying in from SIN. Asked in the PT and they got me my own bus (large one) back to economy terminal, and actually escorted me through security lines. Got some really angry looks, but excellent service... and didn't take much time.
But of course my connection was 2-3 hours.
