The way I did mines so I can stay in J.

ORD-PVG using SWU to J
PVG-HKG-BKK in CX J using miles.

You most likely will have to overnight it in BKK to get to CNX since you will prob arrive around midnight local time. I recommend Bangkok Airways over Air Asia for about the same price. Of course TG is an option as well.
