I'm not trying to cause any problems, I just prefer to keep my wallet and its contents under my control at all times. This minimizes the risk of me misplacing it as I gather my belongings back up.

I even offered to let him paw through it, but for some reason he was hell bent on sending it through the x-ray. TSA employees have been have been known to steal, and the fact that he was demanding to inspect my wallet outside my view made me uncomfortable.
