I often find on the BA partner search that it will say there is nothing available that day. However, hitting the "search next 7 days" link, then hitting "search previous 7 days" (to get back to the same initial date) often shows availability. However, this only works if there is space available on the AA website at the cheapest level. Seems to get round some of the dodgy IT issues.
