I can't believe people are actually suggesting not to visit one of the most beautiful cities of Europe because of pickpockets... What about all the other major cities of the world?
Should we suggest not to visit any place packed with thousands of tourists because of pickpockets?

How can BCN seems dangerous to a seasoned travelers? Ever been to Port au Prince, Nairobi or Manila alone at night?

BCN is as safe as any other city of Europe, the same amount of people got robbed in Rome, Florence, Madrid, Paris, etc etc... A tourist with a big camera around his neck a big wallet in his rear pocket is the perfect target of pickpocket everywhere in the world.

I actually felt much more safe in Barcelona then Berlin at night.. But I'd never tell anyone not to go to Berlin..
