I visited NZ about 20 years ago and remember it fondly, especially the south island. Have often wondered if it were a country in which I would be happy spending my retirement years. Also liked Australia and the lure of free health care, charity handouts and, presumably, free beer make it a worthy choice too.
By the way, I went to the "So you think you can immigrate to Canada, eh?" website and took the "test." Seems I would have no problem getting residnecy based on FSWP or "entrepreneur" status (thought I didn't check very carefully to see if either program was currently suspended). Probably helped that I would be willing to invest 800K Canadian, but maybe I'd qualify anyway. I mention this because there was nothing spectacular in my answers, so the bar can't be that high.
Note that when I say "entrepreneur" I am not using the correct term. From the questions asked on the test, it seems that residency status can be obtained by investing sufficient amounts in a Canadian venture.
