I am getting ready to pull the trigger for our trip to Hawaii. We will be a party of six. We plan on buying coach tickets and using miles and the cash co pay option to upgrade round trip.

I have looked but really couldn't find an answer. Reading the topics over the years, I am under the assumption that AA does limit the number of FC seats available for award travel and the co pay/miles option. Stupid question, for example, if AA limits the amount of seats available with the co pay/ miles option, is it different per aircraft or will it be "x" amount system wide regardless of aircraft? Just like to know the answer so I am not taken by surprise at the time of booking. Our flights could be on a variety of aircraft.
