That makes no sense; since you are not flying on AA , what AA might have allowed if they did fly there and if you chose to fly on them is irrelevent
If the exception only applied to itineraries that were exclusively on AA flights there would NO existing itineraries where the exception would be valid. So why would the exception be listed?
