As of tomorrow, which will see the invasion of London by 17,000 members of "the Olympic Family", I am not leaving my immediate neighbourhood, and then only for newspapers, milk and fresh bread.

I have stocked up on the essentials of life, and only war, pestilence or the death of the first born will entice me from my home until the very last Olympian packs his/her gewgaws and souvenirs of London and goes home again.

I will not be able to drive my car into or through central London, the Tube and the buses (if the workers are not on strike for a £500+ bonus simply for doing their jobs) will be packed.

So it's working at home for me - interspersed by an oh-so-brief glance at the various sporting events.
