Interesting thread, and of course as an US based board the chor sings the "DL has to buy american" song. Are so few of you thinking that YOUR airline of choice should buy the planes which are best FOR the AIRLINE? Someone here is hating the A320 "because they removed a row of F seats" mmh- did Airbus removed those seats? Also, there are lots of folks commenting "Boeing can not afford to loose another contact to Airbus". Actually they can - the backlog is quite long. The question rather is "can Boeing afford to hold another customer at any price?" If Delta would order Boeing only for narrowbody replacement Airbus would make sure that Boeing is not making too much money on it..
