After spending the last week at the Seattle Sheraton and wondering why in the world I stay there I am now at the Grand Hyatt in Seattle. To say the least what a HUGE difference. Wow doesn't even begin to talk about the difference. I checked in and Josh greeted me with the warmest greeting (Sheraton greets customers with "Next! ID/Credit Card"). He then said "could you please wait a moment?" and one of my all time favorite people in the Hyatt organization comes out (Laura). She is one of the best people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing in all of my travels. The way she treats people is just astounding. I then had the bellman Arthur take me to my room. Again, just amazing, warm, and fun! The 5 PM lounge hour was very nice. Nice treats including cheeses, tarts, shortbread cookies, sushi, dips, and breads/crackers. There was also a nice assortment of liquors, wines, beers, and soft drinks. Liquor was $5 a drink, beer/wine $4 a drink and soft drinks were free.

There is a health center that has a spa/sauna/steam room along with workout machines. There is also a business center where you can print things out (at a charge). There is a FedEx across the street which is a lot less expensive but the business center is convenient.

After spending the last week at the Sheraton and wondering every day if they have ever heard of customer service spending 3 hours here at the Grand Hyatt has made me feel as though I am in heaven!
