My wife has a RTW QF Award ticket including these segments. I need to purchase a ticket for these segments. For the IST-LHR segment, the cost of Business is only £100 more than the cost of an Economy ticket, and the extra QF status credits might be worth that to me. If I were to buy a Business ticket, the question is
-whether we consider flying in different cabins, likely with her in Business (other thread), or
-whether there is some way under some circumstances that BA would consider upgrading her Award Economy seat to Business.

I have been told that QF will change the entire itinerary (for many many points) but not one segment.

I was hoping that someone would know whether BA would even consider a cash upgrade for a QF award seat.
