Hang on, so are both in ET (economy class) at the moment? I thought from your other thread that you were in CE (business class) and your wife was in economy?
Anyway, the only way your wife will be able to get a business class seat is as outlined above, either call QF and see if you can change one sector to business, or see if the paid upgrade will be offered by BA either online or at the airport.
