I have no doubt that many travellers have received poor service from AC employees. I cannot and will not believe, however, that yourself (or I'llMissCP, or any other FF, for that matter) have never received decent service from that airline.
To come onto FT and ensure that
every post that you make does nothing but b*tch about the employees, service, and management of Air Canada is not helpful. Frankly, I have grown kind of sick of your constant whining... I'm certain that I am not alone. Can you never say
anything positive?
Why the hell do you think that the AC employees that used to frequent this place (A Flygirl, Secret Agent, CPYVR, Purser@AC, ACAvionicsGuy....) aren't around here nearly as often? Honestly, I would rather have them around than you.
Nearly everytime I have flown AC since the merger, I have received good (and sometimes wonderful) service from most of the CSRs, F/As etc. that I have come into contact with. Yes, there have been some snarly ones who I really didn't care for. And yes, AC can improve leaps and bounds.
Just this weekend, however, I wanted to book an award seat for three weeks time. I called AC and after 20 minutes I got a ring. I waited on hold for 30 more minutes. Can they improve on this? Of course. When I finally got an agent, though, she was extremely friendly and was more than capable in getting me a seat. How can I complain about that? The next morning I called back to change the booking - Waited on hold for 6-7 minutes (not bad) and had the booking changed in just a few minutes. And guess what? They didn't charge me the change fee. No complaint there.
I can understand the frustration with the changes to Aeroplan benefits that have been expressed on this board. Legitimate complaints have been raised and discussed - that's what this forum is for. But the consistant and negative b*tching about everything Air Canada that you (and a few others) are constantly raising is total bullsh*t.
Furthermore, it wouldn't suprise me if you are too:
<font face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" size="2">...my ban on AC.</font>
Sounds like if you had a ban on them, you shouldn't be flying with them. If you really cared that much, wouldn't you just wait for a later flight?
<font face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" size="2">"We will be enforcing the 2 carry-on limit on this flight. If WE feel your carry-on is too big or too heavy, WE will be removing it from your possession. WE will NOT tolerate any discussion or complaint and if YOU DO YOU will be denied boarding on Air Canada".</font>
No embellishment?
Even some around here who are often somewhat critical of AC (read KH, Empress, and others) will take the time to let us know when AC has done a good job. Can't you just to the same thing (or does your piss-poor attitude prevent you from doing so).
Flame on.
