I'd be really interested to hear about a time that an Air Canada employee has treated you with even a little respect. It sounds that you get screwed over absolutely all of the time - I would sure hate to be in your shoes. Surely an ex-CP employee has helped you at one time or another?
It may have more to do with your attitude than AC employees or management, I'llMissCP.</font>
Surely you jest?! Has it taken till now to catch on to the fact that FF on this board really do more consistently get this type of service? Do you really think we're exaggerating?
This has nothing to do with attitude other than the one AC is instilling in its employees through amazingly poor management and customer relations, not to mention latent union activism.
This is not "blame the victim". But if it was, I would argue you were right in 1 respect; I DO consistently get help and good service from leftover Canadian employees.
To illustrate, let's take the LAX-YVR flight that I took just last Friday afternoon.
I was originally scheduled at a later time, but my meeting finished early, so I rebooked onto an earlier flight. Unfortunately, UA was not available so I had to take the codeshare with AC.
I check into the airport and walk up to the AC counter. I present my SE card but instruct the agent not to change the number on my flight; I want the credit with UA.
Without asking (and with no prompting on my part), she upgraded me to Business Class! I was shocked! I began to think to myself "well... maybe I will have to reconsider my ban on AC".
But the flight hasn't left yet, has it? Just before boarding time, the attendant on the gate comes on for an announcement.
"We will be enforcing the 2 carry-on limit on this flight. If WE feel your carry-on is too big or too heavy, WE will be removing it from your possession. WE will NOT tolerate any discussion or complaint and if YOU DO YOU will be denied boarding on Air Canada".
I felt like leaping up and shouting ZiegHeil!
Sorry, buddy, but this is a systemic problem in Mapleflot; they think they have you and they think they can do whatever they want.
My attitude (nor anyone else's) had absolutely nothing to do with the attitude of the employees....
