Captain: "Ok... let's try that again..." after attempting a landing and aborting 3/4 of the way through due to strong winds which nearly blew the plane sideways

Also a recent one after taking off on a plane that had just come in from somewhere else: Captain: "The brakes on the plane were running a little hot when this plane landed in XXX and they're still too hot now, so we're going to lower the landing gear for a bit while we fly to cool them off. It's nothing to be alarmed about..."
