2. I had reported this credit card lost, and now have a new card with new numbers. They assured me that the refund will still go through when they refund to the old number, is this correct?

It does not serve the TA any use to hold on to your ticket. So you have to trust them that once you want a refund, they have done it. It takes about 5 mins to process a refund on an e-ticket.

eva.com is not processed by ARC (all tickets issued in USA go through this system).
1. There is no 'receipt' to show that you are getting a refund. Once a refund is requested, it is sent electronically to ARC for processing - which means it is instant. The refund will go directly back to your creditcard, less any cancellation/refund fees charged by the airline based on your fare. Although the refund may take a few days, it only goes through your cc in about a week . The money does NOT go to the travel agent. Any additional charges for handling this refund by the travel agency needs to be charged seperately.
2. The refund will go back to Amex and they will know to forward it to your new account.
