Angry Poor Service / Expectation Management

Sorry if this is a bit of a rant!

Having been travelling for 3 days, the last stage of my journey should have been the simplest. LHR GLA on BA. After the rolling delay my flight was cancelled (BA1486) and I was rebooked on to another flight. All going ok so far. I can put up with delays, poor weather etc happens. So, 6 hours after check in I present myself at the gate and ask the question "can you confirm my 3 pieces of luggage have been transferred onto this flight?", the very nice gentleman assured me that all my luggage was with me. Therefore I was somewhat dismayed to hear my name being called out upon arrival with the apology that none of my bags had been loaded. After the form filling, the service agent stated my bag would be placed on the first LHR GLA flight and couriered to me. I am rather annoyed to be sitting in my flat awaiting the courier, only to discover 2 of my bags are still at Heathrow. So, what's my point? It is:

I accept delays and baggage troubles, these are part of travel. What I do not accept is BA staff or their representatives fobbing off the customer with answers they want to hear, because telling the truth is too much hassle.

BA should place greater focus on service recovery. There are lots of flights on the GLA route. It is unacceptable to allow misplaced luggage to sit at LHR awaiting space, it should be prioritised accordingly.

The website says it has the most up to date information. However upon speaking to baggage services they had more info on their system. BA should address the gap in information.

So here I sit, awaiting my 50kgs of clothes etc. Hopefully we will be re-united at some point. 17 hours in GLA post arrival and still nothing.... Let's see how long this will go on for!

Rant off! (sorry for any typo's, iPhones aren't great for this kind of thing)
