Most Flights over 12 hours w Emirates have started handing out restaurant style menus with different soups, starters, deserts, main courses, etc. theoretically you can have a light meal of soup and an appetizer after take off, a traditional 4-6 course dinner later on, and even an additional main course sometime later on.
