The reason why TG shows up as a 747-200 is because THAI loads the flights as having the equipment code of 747 on all of the major GDS. They use 747 and 744 to differentiate seating configurations. Because the code 747 is used it shows up as 747-200. This is not an error with UA or SHARES but with TG.
I'm well aware of what TG does...still no other site refers to the TG 747 All Series (or new new config 747) as 747-200.
UA also randomly adds ER to various non-ER 777s...e.g. the 777-300 flights between MEL and BKK on TG and the SQ MEL-SIN flights which are NOT operated by the 77W (SQ237/238).
