Sue? You have filed a complaint with the proper EU authority and you are concerned about how long it will take and whether you will be granted additional compensation. What makes you think any court will be faster or more generous, and what makes you think they will even accept jurisdiction?
Also, to claim damages in the courts, as opposed to the EU passenger rights authority, you have to prove a loss. You mention no loss except the 24 hours of lost time. Were you damaged in some other way, like the guy in another thread who missed his own wedding in Portugal?
Why not let the EU passenger rights filing run its course, because if the EU body refuses, you at least have its grounds on which to assess the utility of filing a court case that might well come up empty.
