to be honnest not working so nicely on LH with over 60 legs on LH SH most of the time mid seats were available but only at the back of the plane.
but quite often there was over 50 HON, SEN+ and SEN.

as a SEN (or BA Gold) I will rather chose mid seat on row 6 than having a blocked seat in the middle and being row 20.

For me on SH blocked seat is only for CE, otherwise the only difference will be a small salad (except if they then give extra perks to Gold travelling in CE).
