Who re-routed you? Did Delta re-route you because of something like a flight cancellation, or did you or your travel agent choose to do so? If the former, you can get Delta credit by requesting what is called "Original Routing Credit". Just submit a request online after your trip. You can actually double dip - get both AA miles and DL miles.
