Got 15K last year from SYD to LAX in BE for a nonfunctioning AVOD. It included the light not working. I actually was peeved that it was so little, but I don't think I cared enough to write in, or maybe I did, can't remember. A whole section of the BE cabin was out and it was a full flight so there was no where to move. It was pretty hard to work in the dark so I ended up with a bunch of downtime. 15k miles is worth about $150 to me. Given the price of a oneway ticket I value the light and AVOD at far more than $150. Stuff happens though. Not the end of the world. I think 25K to 30K would have been about right.
