Great advice (as usual) by SD1K. While I haven't yet been to the Andaman, one thing I'd add is that the LMKL has wonderful, inexpensive beachfront eateries and open air massage shacks right nearby as well as up the beach, which stretches for miles. Though some, including the closest restaurant, are closed this time of year.
