PRG annual fee is going to hit next month and plan to drop it.

Been hoping the SPG summer bonus rears its head before then...
Either way, the PRG must go away. What looks better to Amex, close the PRG before the new app or after?
~ ie, does it matter??

I ask because I dont know Amex as well as chase.
