No it does not charge long distance at all. If you look at the FAQ STICKY on this forum - this overseas phone service has mentioned as a little known benefit. It is for all AA elites from EXP to GLD - you just call your appropriate "desk" number.

Once you are prompt, dial the elite number and you would be directly patched thru, agent answers right away. I called from HKG and TPE several times and never even heard any prompt for CC number.
