The second meal offering is the subject of many a thread here on FT. Surely someone from BA must have picked up on this by now. Given that on longer haul flights two full meal services are provided, it can't be a capacity issue, so I'm not sure why BA can't at least offer something slightly more substantial. Not necessarily hot, but a little more than what is offered now. Maybe a basket of pastries or cakes where those that would like a little more can have something. Or a small fruit salad or yoghurt.
