I have stated in several posts before, that I don't think you are going to see any bonus transfer offer this year. If any, maybe one later in the year, depending on what impact they need on their financials. MQMs promos, from a transfer standpoint, I think are gone, as they probably should be. There was to much success with last years December option to buy up to 10,000 MQMs. That makes DL money, bonus MQMs do not. I think they have heard so much about miles being to easy to get and thus the inflated elite ranks and award levels, that with this years absence of such is helping some. At least a step in the right direction. I do think that a one-time option for a bonus transfer is okay, but certainly not like they were all the time last year. I think people will be happier in the long run with having fewer or none of those opportunities, as their are enough ways to get miles without flying already out there.
