Right. On my flight itinerary, it gives my flights to MSP as being with Virgin Australia but then says beneath them, "Operated by Delta Airlines". My return flights are with Delta and Virgin. When I booked, it was under Virgin.
What does this mean (if anything)?

Virgin Australia Velocity mileage plan may be the best option for you since you can get credit for your Delta trip but use the mileage for free flights inside (or outside) Australia on Virgin Australia. In either case, just sign up for one of the programs and either go to your reservation online and add the number, or have your travel agent add the number. You could also add the number at the time of your flight, but you might forget.
Virgin would be more useful, I think. I'll look in to adding it.
