Another thing you should definitely do if you plan to remain on this flight is to check on the inbound aircraft which makes up your SAN-MSP flight. Your SANMSP flight leaves somewhere around 3PM or so depending on your excat travel day. You can use a program like www.flightaware.com to check on the status on your inbound aircraft. It will leave a DL hub, most likely MSP or DTW, about 4-5 hours before your flight time. If it is arriving in SAN an hour late, then even if your flight shows "ontime", you know it won't be, and you can be more pro-active, ie. getting an earlier flight to either MSP or DTW..
