Get an earlier flight inbound to MSP. if you're seated toward the rear it can take you 15 minutes to deplane. The gate-to-gate hike at MSP can take another 15 minutes, easily. Unless your first flight runs exactly on time, you're close to sunk. Why risk the stress and frustration of missing your AMS flight because your SAN-MSP has to hold short of the gate for ten minutes looking for a ramper?

In a case like this I always book a 2.5 to 3-hour layover, minimum.
