If spending an extra $140 for your stay is an issue perhaps you should find a place you can afford. Yes Hyatt has rates based on length of stay... I'm sure you knew that when you booked the room.

Checking in on a rate based on a four night stay but then changing your plans to nights in the hope of getting a cheaper rate... IS TACKY!!!
And calling someone tacky for trying to be responsible with their money or a customers money may not be tacky, but it is rude.
Not everyone is silver spoon fed
