"We are here primarily for your safety"
Thank God never said by BA crew (or BD come to that) but I accidentally stumbled onto a FlyMayBe flight yesterday and was struck by this phrase, which otherwise I associate with certain American airlines.
Now I know that safety is indeed the cabin crew's main role, but that phrase has always struck me as being particularly passive-aggressive, as it is never followed by anything positive about service and care.
In fact we could have a fill in the blank competition:
"We are here primarily for your safety, so _________________________"
Do other UK airlines use it, e.g. EasyJet and RyanAir? Is it a class thing?
