Checked in earlier today. I've been staying at this property for many years now, and I have found that service has improved steadily over time, especially post-renovation. It is less kiasu and more heartfelt.
Today's check-in was particularly impressive, it was really novel and a very positive experience. I got off the cab, got my bag off the car, and there was a hotel staffer (not a bellhop) at the entrance with a clipboard. She asked me for my name, looked me up in her clipboard, walked me directly to my room, and checked me in there, chop-chop. Got a front building Deluxe, which I think is plenty fine, and no questions asked. Amenity was 3 peaches and a box of cookies, I'm good with that.
