I noticed this on my flight from LAX to PHL last Monday. When checking in it said the flight was LAX to Tel Aviv! Turns out you take a 737 to PHL and then those going on to Tel Aviv head on over to the intl terminal for their onward flight. Same flight number for both segments. I guess that seems to be normal for US.
