Yes, unless you obtained your status either through a status challenge or in some other way that nobody here has ever heard of. Your medallion card should indicate when your status expires - typically in February. So if you are Platinum now, you are likely good until at least then.

The earning year is 1/1 to 12/31. You need to earn 45k more by December 31st of this year to extend your Platinum status through February 2014, otherwise you will drop to Gold or Silver depending on how far you get.
